In the reference 1st read above, a meeting was organized on 01.11.2024 and the authorities have directed to prepare a road map for 120-day certificate course training (Gnana Jyothi) for 55,607 Anganwadi workers on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) from WD&CW and estimated budget for the said programme. The training will be conducted with the technical support of
ASER&Pratham technical partner of Samagra Shiksha.
As part of the SALT Project, Pratham is providing technical support to the Samagra Shiksha State Implementation Society and Women Development&Child Welfare Department GoAP for Early Childhood Education to improve foundational learning of children aged 3 to 8 years. In this connection, Pratham is implementing the SALT program through localized, state-context aligned activities and innovations for improving the quality of education in Anganwadi, Grade 1 and 2 in preschools and primary schools across the state. This is being done in part, through (i) development of a
transformational roadmap for the early childhood education and foundational learning continuum, (ii) building the capacities of Anganwadi workers, preparatory class teachers and early grade teachers, and (iii) developing model Anganwadi Centres and primary school across all districts of the state. Project will be implemented by the Department of School Education (DoSE), Women
Development&Child Welfare GoAP and state-level administrative units including the SCERT, SAMO and the local network of DIETs and ICDS Departments at District Level.
In this regard, the Samagra Shiksha in coordination with the WD&CW, AP and Pratham is conducting 6-days non-residential training for 55,607 Anganwadi workers will be conducted at high schools in mandal level scheduled in two cycles from 18.02.2025 to 20.02.2025 (1st Cycle for 3 days) and from 22.02.2025,24.02.2025 and 25.02.2025 (2nd Cycle for 3 days) at 1344 selected high schools in Mandal level across the state.
The estimated budget for conducting the above trainings is Rs.9,45,31,900/- (Rupees Nine Crores Forty-Five Lakhs Thirty-One Thousand Nine Hundred only) and the expenditure may be met from the available funds of NIPUN Bharat Mission 5.1.3 Capacity Building subject to the reimbursement from the SALT project funds.
The funds will be released to APCs at the district level to facilitate the procurement of stationery and TLM materials required for practice sessions, as well as to cover travel allowances for all participants and food and snacks during the six-day training program. This training will be conducted in two cycles, with each cycle spanning three days. To ensure smooth implementation, the training modules of Gnana Jyothi will be distributed to Mandals for further dissemination to participants during the 120- day certification course conducted in a non-residential mode. FRAS is mandatory for all the participants, deviation in this regard will be viewed seriously.
